My passion for photography began at the early age of 13 when I first took photos with a brownie camera and saw the images develop in my darkroom. It was the closest thing to taking an image just as my mind saw it and printing it on paper. From that moment on I was hooked.

Over the years I’ve come to think of myself as an artist that paints with light. Some lighting situations are controlled and others are a result of serendipity. In either case when I’m able to bring the subject and light together to create a beautiful piece of artwork it’s an exhilarating feeling that mere words can only partially describe. The rest must be experienced by the artist. My hope is that my work speaks to the viewer in the same way it speaks to me.
